 L.J. Thalmann Architectural Landscaping started in 1917.
Our continued growth made way for the development of the
Wilmette Nursery and Garden Center in 1942.
At the same time, incidentally, a small restaurant designed
as a Swiss chalet was moved on to this property. This
building soon became a familiar landmark and prompted
us to rename the company to "Chalet Nursery."
Continued success in our landscape, nursery and retail
services led to further expansion In 1962, additional
land was purchased in Lake Forest to accommodate our
nursery production needs.
 Later in 1976, this property became home for the rapidly
expanding Landscape Division
In 1993, continued growth led to another location in
North Chicago exclusively for the Chalet Landscape Division.
Since 1917, for over 80 years, our commitment has always
been to you, our customer. Your individual, specific
needs are our focus. We have built a business by working
hard to exceed your expectations. We are continuously
developing, researching and utilizing the latest techniques
in the landscaping industry to serve you, our customer. |
