ASK THE CHALET PROS

February 15, 2010
I've been seeing rabbits in my yard. Will they eat my plants?

Yes, my dear, they very likely will. Because of extended periods of snow cover this year, rabbits are on the move looking for something to eat. Check the base of all your plantings for fresh chew marks, especially on burning bush, cotoneaster and arborvitaes. Apply liquid repellents now. Though many are natural, as with any applications, be sure to follow the label instructions or ask a knowledgable garden center person for details on applications.
